Clinic Practice Manager II - Columbia River Women's Center & Urology


The Practice Manager will develop and oversee clinic operations to assure alliance with and adherence to MCMC Outpatient Clinics mission, vision, values, strategic goals, and business strategies. Emphasizing service excellence, patient and staff safety, operational efficiency and organizational integration, the Practice Manager will lead the clinic in overall program development and service priorities. Work collaboratively to provide leadership for the Practice that promotes constructive operational problem solving and communication at all levels. Successful interdisciplinary and interdepartmental collaboration and service coordination. Development and oversight of well-trained, highly competent clinic staff. Effective implementation and evaluation of departmental practices, policies, and continuous process improvement. Optimal utilization of space, resources, numbers and skills of staff to fulfill mission. Develops vision for practice and executes plans to achieve vision. Identifies strategy for growth and executes plans to achieve growth goals. Problem solving and addressing issues raised by physicians, employees, and patients. Managing the flow of the clinic to insure compliance, efficiency and patient satisfaction. Full Profit and Loss responsibility of the physician practice, including revenue, expenses and budgeting.



Bachelor s degree or equivalent in training and experience required.

MHA/MBA strongly desired.

Minimum seven years progressively more responsible healthcare experience or equivalent experience.

Previously physician clinic or ambulatory care preferred.

Progressively responsible supervisory experience required.

National board certification from the American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE/MGMA) as a

Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) preferred.


Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to know when to interface w/clinic leadership

or resolve the issues with minimal supervision.

Thorough knowledge of operations, including staffing and scheduling, budget management and work-flow


Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
